Amazon's Twitch Buys Curse

Amazon's online gaming arm, Twitch, acquired Curse for an undisclosed sum last month. Curse is probably best known as an online gaming community and add-on hub for such popular games as World of Warcraft, and operates a stand-alone suite of applications which enhances the gaming experience for about 30 million users. Curse also operates over 60 gaming sites, such as Gamepedia.

Amazon purchased Twitch for $1bn back in 2014. Twitch currently boasts about 100 million users, but faces tough competition from newer services such as Periscope and Facebook Live.
