The webseries The Guild dedicated an entire episode to The Game's server going down for a few hours. IRL, the World of Warcraft servers go down once a week on Tuesday mornings (Monday nights), giving me some much needed time to get back into the real world and get a few things done.
It appears our grace period for earning extra experience together has expired, and we can no longer summon one another's character to our side, so things aren't as pressing there as they were earlier. We managed to level-up two characters during that time. I still don't have the Cataclysm expansion, so we could only get up to level 80, but it was a little bit of work to do that. I wasn't able to keep up with my secondary skills on one of them and have to spend time "farming" the materials needed to increase my skill rating in them. Things like that keep you playing long after you no longer have much incentive otherwise.
