Avira AV a Pop-Up Beast

The new computer came with Avira antivirus installed. I had never heard of Avira, and I have to say that I did not even bother to check it out while it was installed because it served pop-ups to my desktop like it was 1999. Avira would hit me with a pop-up advertisement at least once every day, so I uninstalled it and switched to a better AV program.

I say "better" because, regardless of the quality of protection Avira provides, I use firewalls, spam eliminators, and AV programs to avoid things like pop-ups and any decent AV provider would know that and respond to it accordingly.
