According to unofficial tracking by Ancestry.com founder, Paul Allen, Google+ surpassed 60 million users on Christmas day. Allen estimates that Google+ will surpass 100 million users by 2012, and over 400 million by 2013.
Some analysts think the growth is due to commercials run on TV featuring the Muppets and other celebrities, but growth has slowed dramatically since Google+ was first rolled-out. Still, Hitwise counted over 9 million hits on Google+ for the week of December 17th.
