I have never had as many problems as I'm having with this one right out of the box, though it is a refurbished model. It has never installed AVG and now is not installing Service Pack 2. If anyone knows anything to say to any of these things, please feel free to comment.
I'm just avoiding the issues at the moment as I work on other things. I am not going to bother with updating anything else, though I may install a few other programs in the meantime. They may install components contained in Service Pack 2 which may free it up to finally install. It could also be that it's on a network, but that seems specious. I still haven't gone through all the troubleshooting I need to yet, but I thought someone might have faced a similar issue.
