Router Splits Traffic

I'm using one of those low-end Belkin G-series routers and whenever I plug-in anything other than the main workstation, it splits the bandwidth in half. Literally.

I can get Netflix and YouTube just fine, and on all the workstations across the network, but not WinAmp. Every once in a while, I can get a ShoutCasTV station to come through, but sometimes just for a moment.

This is actually better than the salesman believed I would get, but I still have no idea how much of that was an upsell. At this rate though, there is simply no way to get a third workstation on this network - not that I need one, just to say. But many Flash and video players work from specific sites, so it's definitely a WinAmp issue.
