I keep telling you Google is Evil. I mean, for a company to have "Don't Be Evil" as its statement of purpose, there has to be a backstory that it doesn't want to tell, no? Google has absolutely monopolized entire sectors of the Internet -- not just the Web -- by buying companies and services willy-nilly since the early '00s. And though people like myself have continued to decry this, no one has bothered to actually do anything about it (at least not in America).
Worse yet, almost everyone with whom you talk will roll their eyes at you like a hipster discussing The Decemberists' demo tapes and tell you either how much they love Google, how much they (and you) need Google, and/or how Google owns everything anyway, so what choice do they have?
There are lots of choices -- that is, until Google unfairly buries them in the search results, refuses to pay them their AdSense earnings, fucks-up their AdWords campaigns, then buys them at a discount price when they tank -- yet most people will choose Google because they feel it's easier, more convenient, and so forth.
Just like this guy did: I would like to bring to your attention a few things...
