According to the Entertainment Software Association (ESA), the average video gamer is 37-years-old and knows how to play Pac-Man. Perhaps as interesting, nearly 30% of gamers are over 50 and only 18% are under 18.
The ESA also found that gaming is a mainstream activity undertaken in over 70% of all households. While the majority (58%) of gamers are male, 42% are female. More facts on video gamers can be found here.
