Installing a Favicon on Blogger

For the first few years, I had favicons for all the blogs. A year or two back, they suddenly disappeared. I searched hi and low for the reason and found no answer, but I found one last night:

Use the following code, replacing the emboldened, red brackets with carats:

[link href="http://www. PATH TO/ FAVICON.ico" rel="shortcut icon" type="image/vnd.microsoft.icon"] [link href="
http://www. PATH TO/ FAVICON.ico" rel="icon"]

And insert it directly before the following code, which will already be present in the template's coding:

[b:skin][![CDATA[

For whatever reason, this actually works -- as evidenced above in your browser's navigation bar!

Thanks to "Greenlava" in the Blogger forums who showed me, and others, this technique. I'm sorry I could not find the thread in which it was presented.
