Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg Donates $100 million to NJ Schools

Mark Zuckerberg, founder of Facebook, is expected to appear on The Oprah Winfrey Show Friday to announce his donation of $100 million to the Newark, New Jersey school system. Newark's mayor, Cory Booker, and New Jersey's Governor, Bill Christie, are expected to be on-hand to receive the donation.

Newark's school district has some of the state's lowest scores and graduation rate and Mayor Booker elected not to rehire the district's superintendent, but a replacement has yet to be named. The donation is expected to give Booker more control over the system, which is run by the state.
