I have used shrink wrap machines, particularly when we owned the video store, and I have used glue guns but I am not exactly what one would consider a "handyman," so if I found heat guns laying about, I could not even say for sure that I would know what they are nor for what they would be used.
I understand that they have many practical uses, including paint and varnish removal, and the removal of rusted and/or stripped bolts. Because of these, and their many other, uses, they seem a necessity for inclusion in any toolbox.
