I posted a short setup guide to using Ventrilo and logging into the server someone else is providing for us (for now) on the site blog (The Wording). Between that and the Entertainment page, which has all of the technical information you need to connect to the server, you shouldn't have too much trouble getting it up and going.
I sometimes login to riff movies from Netflix Instant, but there are usually people there playing Starcraft and other online games. Feel free to drop-in anytime!
