I'm always amazed by how few, truly informative, tutorials there are online for pretty common things. I used to think it was because these processes were so common, or so widely-known, that more resources weren't available, but time and again, as I have had to setup yet another computer, I've been left searching in vain through incomplete "Help" files, FAQ, and confusing, unorganized forums.
I'm no expert on basically anything, but I have been doing this a long time and I do know a handful of tricks and routines that make life online a little easier. Most of this is rather common sense stuff that's fallen by the wayside with the advent of specialized service sites, mobile access, and expensive, catch-all program suites. It's cheap, useful, and makes you more productive.
So I've been writing this stuff up, but I have to do the screencaps, and that takes a while and gets confusing. However, I wanted to tell you about it because it's going to take a few days to get a process down and get even one of them done, so I may be away for a minute. Plus, I'm soliciting any and all suggestions.
