Podcast - Fitzdog Radio with Greg Fitzsimmons

Greg Fitzsimmons is another one of those comedians with whom younger readers might not be familiar. He is a true powerhouse within the comedy industry, known as much for his range as his acerbic wit. He is also an accomplished radio host, having hosted his own show on the Howard Stern network (or whatever) for Sirius/XM for the last several years. But he is now publishing a podcast entitled Fitzdog Radio, which he distributes freely.

And it's good. Really good.

Fitzsimmons' quick wit is always on display, and he has assembled a great team of producers and personalities who often chime-in, as well. He also hosts several radio games in which he incorporates listeners' contributions. And though all these things make this podcast fun and entertaining, it's Fitzsimmons' comedic range and intelligence which so often makes me stop and run the "tape" back. The beauty of the podcast is that it's solely his and he can do and say whatever he wants, so he doesn't have to do all the douchey, Howard Stern crap he surely does on his radio show, and that's great. Because that stuff sucks and so do those "people."

Like WTF, Fitzdog Radio has comedy guests and interviews, but Greg Fitzsimmons also has guests from a wide range of entertainment, including pornchicks and musical talent. I skip the pornchick stuff -- I've met enough of them to know they are just plain worthless human beings -- but Fitzdog Radio is easily one of the best, funniest, and most consistent comedy podcasts you will find anywhere and I couldn't recommend it more highly.
