Friendfactor is creator, Brian Elliot's, attempt at closing the hetero-/homo- sexual divide by inviting straight friends to support their gay friends on a gay social network. Friendfactor allows straight friends to "Like" (Facebook's term) their gay friends' profiles, and allows gay members to blog about their lives and coming-out process.
Elliot says Friendfactor is an advocacy effort which attempts to leave gay "rights" behind and focus on gay people.
