Developers are upset over Apple's decision to ban certain adult-oriented applications from its iPhone. While thousands of such apps have been removed since Friday, some - such as one from Playboy - remain. Apple said the decision was based on complaints it received from women who found some of the apps degrading, as well as parents who were concerned over what their children were able to access.
As for why some apps remained, Apple said it took into consideration the companies' presence and previously developed material. Developers have suggested Apple create parental controls and/or establish an Adult store for apps to which minors should not have access.
