Old-Fashioned Musicianship

I do not begrudge the current music scene at all, though I admit I am not a big fan of the electronica and club/house genres. They have their strengths though they use a lot of effects to achieve most of their sound. However, they all have a driving bass drum beat that you can only really get with a real drum. That means that someone, at some point along the way, played a real drum even if it was later sampled.

While technology is the wave of the future or whatever and has taken a place in basically everything we do and experience daily, I don't think the basic drum is going anywhere anytime soon.
