S.I.R. Days One and Two

I tuned-in to S.I.R. to hear the inaugural broadcast and really enjoyed both live shows -- Kevin Smith and his wife, Jennifer Schwalbach on Per Diem, then Kevin and Jason Mewes doing Jay & Silent Bob Get Jobs -- so much so in fact, that I left SModcast Internet Radio running all day as I worked (and largely avoided the same), even though I'd already heard several of the podcasts they played throughout the day. The good news is that I actually hadn't heard all of them before, and didn't mind hearing the rest again.

While they are still finding their way, especially with Per Diem, S.I.R. is a really enjoyable experience. I wish it started a bit earlier because of the difference in time zones. They are already starting at 8:00am their time, which is more than early enough; it starts at 10am here, which is usually about the time I get out of bed anyway.

The personality and entertainment is there and there have been few technical problems so far, so I'm hopeful that it only gets better -- actually, I expect it to, as things get ironed-out. If you haven't checked it out yet, S.I.R. is a great way to spend a few hours, especially early in the morning while you're waiting for the coffee to hit.

Smith and company should be proud!
