Blogger Leaves The Times Over Paywall

Legal blogger, Tim Kevan, withdrew his blog, Baby Barista, from Rupert Murdoch's The Times website in protest of the new paywall about to go in effect.  Murdoch blasted Google and other search engines and aggregators, even intimating he would sue for violation of copyright, for indexing content from his newspaper sites.  To combat the problem, Murdoch decided to institute a paywall around the sites, which include both The Times and The Sunday Times.

Kevan stated that he found the paywall idea "Canute-like" and did not think it would work. More importantly, he wanted whomever came across Baby Barista to be able to read it, and did not want his content becoming the "exclusive domain" of any larger entity.
