Mom Bans Teen from Internet, Cellular - Teen Burns Down House

A 16-year old Iowa girl set her family home ablaze with a lighter because her mother banned her from her cell phone and Internet. There were three other family members in the home at the time, including the girl's wheelchair-bound grandfather, and an 18-month-old infant. While no people were harmed, two dogs and a cat died, and the home was totaled.

Anissa Lynn Reyna was charged with first-degree arson. She is being charged as an adult, which is automatic under Iowa law. She faces a possible sentence of 25 years.
