Bradley Paul Hampson was sentenced to three years in jail for defacing two Facebook tribute pages. The Facebook pages were those of two children from the community who had recently been murdered, though neither was related to the other. Hampson posted digitally altered pictures of the children and offensive messages to both pages because, he told the court, he had previously been harassed online.
The judge ordered Hampson be released after serving 12 months.
