Warner Bros. Adds More Movies to Facebook

Warner Brothers has made at least five more movies available for rental through Facebook. Inception, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Yogi Bear, and Life as We Know It are now available for viewing online through their respective Facebook pages. Users simply click the "Watch Now" icon to get access to a selection for 48 hours.

This development is interesting in the face of recent announcements regarding Netflix, which is moving into the original content market. Old Media moguls continue to fight to keep dying media alive and offline, despite the fact that technology has outstripped them by 20 years. Conversely, in a half-hearted attempt to avoid alienating online users any further than they already have with outrageous legal actions against them, Old Media moguls are offering the very least they can to markets they consider the most influential, and that have the most room for growth.
