After a very public screw-up during the announcement of the Canadian-only streaming Netflix service, the company has launched a streaming-only service in the U.S., though only some customers are able to access it and, apparently, at different rates.
The streaming-only service looks to be launched at $7.99-8.99/month, and select customers are seeing one price or the other, where the rest of us are not seeing either option. Some reports say Netflix is planning on raising the price of the current model, which allows subscribers access to both streaming movies and DVDs by mail, but this is another change I have yet to see personally.
