Facebook Makes You Sad

According to a small study conducted by researches at the University of Michigan concluded that young adults who spend more time on Facebook tend to be sadder than those who interact with people on the telephone and in real life. One theory suggests that it creates a competitive environment of sorts in which users judge their own worth, quality of life, or success by comparing their lives to those of their peers however researchers admitted they have yet to determine the reason(s) why Facebook seems to make people sad the more often they login.

The study consisted of 82 Facebook users over a period of two weeks.
