The Twitter Murder

Jameg Blake and Kwame Dancy, both 22, grew-up together in Harlem. The childhood friends' relationship is said to have fallen apart over a girl, and their rivalry spilled-over onto Twitter, where the two men sent insulting and threatening messages to one another. Followers fanned the flames by commenting on the escalating feud. So, authorities say, Jameg Blake put a shotgun in a bag, carried it to Kwame Dancy's house, and shot him in the neck as he left one night.

Authorities plan on using the Twitter exchanges as evidence, and are calling this the first "Twitter murder." Of course, Twitter had nothing to do with how these men used the services, anymore than Ma Bell had anything to do with any exchanges the men had by phone.
